Fee-only financial planning means the advisor is compensated solely by the client. Other “fee-based” financial advisors may receive a commission if they recommend a specific investment, mutual fund, or insurance product. At Lakeside, our only source of income is from our clients. We are never compensated based on product sales or investment recommendations. This transparency helps to prevent any conflicts of interest, allowing us to be completely objective and look out for your best interest.
Our independence and conflict-free approach allows us to go into the marketplace to find the best solution for our clients unlike some of the larger firms who are compelled to make specific recommendations or sell proprietary products. At Lakeside, we offer one-to-one guidance customized to your needs and goals – a personal level of service, care, and attention larger firms just can’t provide.
At Lakeside Financial Planning we work with clients to design a well-balanced portfolio that reflects their risk tolerance, tax status, time horizon, investment objectives, and financial planning goals. Our aim is not to beat the market or achieve a specified rate of return. Instead, we put clients in position to withstand varying market conditions so they benefit during prosperous times.
At Lakeside we firmly believe that even the best financial plan is of little value until it’s implemented. To help you achieve your goals, without feeling stressed or overwhelmed by the noise along the way, we will work together to determine the appropriate steps to implement your plan and guide you through the process one stage at a time.
Yes. Lakeside Financial Planning has a fiduciary duty to all of its clients. We are committed to act in utmost good faith, in a manner we believe to be in the best interest of our clients.
Our prices vary based on the service model provided. Once we have a better understanding of your financial picture, we will recommend the service model that best fits your needs. Since each client brings a unique set of circumstances, it would not be appropriate for us to quote you a fee without first spending the time to get to know you. We will be happy to give you a written fee estimate once we have a complete understanding of your financial situation.
Yes, Lakeside Financial Planning provides prospective clients with a two-step process. First, we have an initial telephone conversation to determine if your financial needs are a fit for our services. Assuming there is a fit, we will schedule an appointment to meet in person at one of our offices. This meeting provides the opportunity for us to get to know each other and allows us to dig deeper into your financial concerns. Before you leave, we will present our fee in writing and provide initial recommendations. There is absolutely no charge or obligation for these two meetings.
The first step is to schedule an introductory phone conversation to determine if your financial needs are aligned with our services. You can schedule an intro call one of three ways:
- Click the “Schedule Your Intro Call” button on the top right of your screen
- Call the office at: (781) 270-1501
- Email us at: jhoole@lakesidefinancialplan.com
