Tip of the Week - Start Saving Small
I can’t tell you the number of times someone has told me that they can’t save because they don’t make enough money. These are the same people who stop at Dunkin Donuts before work every day and then go out for lunch. Instead of buying coffee and lunch 5 days a week, start off by buying coffee and lunch 3 days a week and bringing your own the remaining 2 days. This should allow you to save at least $20 per week. As you get more comfortable with this arrangement, cut your Dunkin trips down and start bringing your lunch to work regularly. Before you know it, you could be saving $50 a week. Do this for 30+ years and you could have a nest egg of over $400,000.
