Little Einstein

Today was a proud moment for Papa Bear. My eight-year-old son Brody set up an investment account with $150 of his own money. He elected to invest $10 in 15 companies based on his personal interest (cars, food, etc). His portfolio includes Apple, Addidas, Amazon, Boeing, Disney, Bombardier, Ford, Hess, McDonalds, Netflix, Pepsi, Toyota, Volkswagen, Verizon, and Walmart. Hopefully he is on track to becoming the next Warren Buffett. As Albert Einstein once said, “Compound interest is the eighth wonder of the world. He who understands it, earns it … he who doesn’t … pays it.”

Shoutout to my custodian, Altruist, for making this possible by allowing the purchase of fractional shares with no transaction costs or account maintenance fees.
